Day 269 – Sunrise Tie-dye

“Too bad it’s cloudy”. I heard that more than once as I was out shooting some pre-dawn/sunrise shots. ‘Thank goodness it’s cloudy’ is more how I felt. I love the deep purple/pink and blue tones created by the big dark clouds colliding with the sun’s spilling light.

Day 206 – Raining

The dogs and I got soaked on our walk this afternoon. I don’t mind the rain, although I would like to have a warm, sunny day so I can bring my boy on the hike too…not keen to take a 10 day old out in the rain :). Oh well, I made the best of it and took some rain drop pics whilst I was out.

Day 193 – With Rain Comes Drops

I don’t honestly think there has been a single break in the rain since it started last night. Usually I don’t mind the rain as it allows for nice, lazy days inside watching movies…unfortunately for me today, work interrupted any plans for that kind of day. It did provide me for the opportunity to take some more raindrop photos, which I’m always keen to do. This particular drop has a reflection of our house in it.

Day 186 – Suction

I noticed today that the fresh lilies on our dining table had water droplets on the stigma. They must naturally suck water up through their stem like a straw. I’m not sure if this is true, but I can’t think of any other explanation for how the water droplets appeared.

Day 164 – Because I Can…

I will take advantage of rain when I can. It didn’t actually rain today, but was still wet this morning from raining all night. We’re going into winter and it’s not likely to rain much at that point, so I will play in the rain or after a rain every chance I get.
