It’s no secret that I love shooting bugs. My macro lens is living on my camera at the moment. Today was the ‘day after the rain’ day and all the bugs were happy. I had a fantastic time prowling the yard for tiny critters.
This is, indeed, just a fly. I happen to think he makes a beautiful photo.
P.S. – My macro lens is a Tamron, only 60mm. So I’m mastering the art of getting really close to the creepy crawlies without scaring them off.

Who knew the nasty buggers were so cool-looking. I’m digging his feet.. they look like flower petals!

I’m surprised that a housefly would let you get so close, but that worked in your favor. Its feet do look plant-like.

I agree with all of the above comments ! Flowers for feet, but what got my attention immediately was his beautiful red eyes!
